Working to commission involves visiting a special place or garden to collect leaves and flowers. I enjoy the challenge this brings, as sometimes the garden may not always contain large numbers of beautiful plants or it may be quite neglected. This means I look for anything that may be useful in the design, including leaves from the vegetable garden and what people may regard as weeds, which can be very beautiful.
I find working on commissions very enjoyable as it requires a visit or two to collect flowers and leaves for pressing, to meet the owners and to discuss the sort of leafwork they are interested in.
I will visit your garden, or favourite place, and collect a small quantity of petals and leaves to create a unique artwork that captures the beauty of your garden, or of any other part of the landscape you love.
Please contact me if you’d like to commission a Leafwork.

I am often asked to press the flowers and leaves from wedding bouquets. Bouquets are usually limited to just a few flower types and the designs I am able to create will often be more simple, which is in itself quite interesting. I enjoy working with my clients to capture their special day, and can advise on how best to collect and preserve their wedding bouquet.
