My Book

The Art of Pressed Flowers and Leaves, Batsford, 2019.

I am very proud to have had the opportunity to write a book, published by Batsford in 2019.

The Art of Pressed Flowers and Leaves is an extensive study of my years of art practice, working with natural materials from woods and gardens

It also is a guide to pressing flowers and leaves, with easy to follow projects to help you create your own botanical works of art.

There is also a plant directory which allows you to see what various plants look like when pressed.

It is available to buy from Waterstones or from your local independent bookshop.

Catchment

Catchment – Gracefield Arts Centre – DumfriesNovember 2013

A collaboration where five local artists individually respond to the River Urr, and it’s landscape, in Galloway.

I was invited to participate in this year long project – and have created an exciting body of new work inspired by the River Urr, exploring the themes of flow and movement.

Isle of Harris

Leafwork created with materials picked on the Isle of Harris.
